Samantha Simmonds is a newsreader, journalist, conference host and moderator with more than 20 years at the forefront of the news. She currently presents for BBC News and hosts the weekly current affairs show ‘Politics London’ on BBC 1. She was previously a main anchor on Sky News for more than a decade.
Samantha’s career as a journalist has seen her report on some of the world’s biggest news stories – from natural disasters to war, royal weddings and celebrity deaths. She has covered numerous US and UK elections, interviewing senior politicians and key global figures.
